Commission on Research
The Research Commission promotes study, research and planning activities in the field of catechetics. It fosters development and publications of instructional catechetical materials and worksheets. It also offers a forum for catechists to share, reflect upon and study relevant catechetical issues through newsletters and other means.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produces and promotes catechetical instructional materials
- Prepares and evaluates Catechists’ Performance Appraisal Tool
- Undertakes action-research based catechetical projects
- Conducts catechetical survey
- Coordinates production of “Katekista” Newsletter
- Supervises the use of the catechetical mobile media van
- Updates contents of CFAM Website
SY 2010-2011:
One of the two major directions of the research office of the CFAM is to assist the catechists working in the public schools and parishes with the necessary instructional materials which must be promoted by the catechists. It develops quality catechetical materials, in print and non print so that Christ may be formed among those who use them.
1) The Elementary Syllabi were revised, printed and distributed to 458 Full Time Catechists and 150 Volunteer catechists last September 2010.
2) To equip our catechists with audio- visual aid the CFAM provide them a Catechetical Kit

- 650 Catechetical Kits were provided to both Full Time and Volunteer Catechists of CFAM
- As of October 2010, 622 Catechists [ Full Time and Volunteer ] received the Catechetical Kit ( worth P 1,000 each ) for FREE .
